Woolworths is currently having the Cook With Friends campain.   What happens is that you download the Cook With Friends App, challenge three friends to participate (or cook) with you.    The four of you get to prepare parts of a recipe (the app decides who cooks which part).  You organize the ingredients, each person cooks their part while one videorises the cooking process.  Here’s the thing, all four of you need to make sure your phones are compatible with the Cook With Friends and one way of finding out is to check here.

After all has been done you submit your videos and cross your fingers.

What’s the catch?

The winner of each challenge (8 in total) will then compete for the main prize: an amazing foodie weekend in Franschhoek for all 4 friends, including travel costs.  The experience will involve a cookery course, a wine tasting as well as a meal at Reuben’s, hosted by celebrity chef Reuben Riffel.  That sounds awesome doesn’t it?

The recipes are fairly easy to prepare and the steps are simplified.  The food was amazing and it was great to get out of my comfort zone and explore dishes from another culture
