Something New: A Homecooked Vegetable Offer by Nuveg

As much as some most of us like to eat, some don’t enjoy the process of putting food together and that is okay.  I know a couple of friends who don’t like cleaning and chopping veggies.  They would rather buy the ready to cook one.  Even if one enjoys cooking, there comes a time when one just doesn’t have the time to cook yet want a nutritious meal.  This new product promises to solve all of those problems …..

No more excuses about not eating your veggies now that Nuveg is selling its selection of super-delicious, pre-cooked, pre-seasoned South African home-style vegetables in individual portions, nationwide.

Convenient, appetising and nutritious, they include some of the country’s favourites from creamed spinach and broccoli to sweet potato, cauliflower in cheese sauce, butternut and cinnamon and the classic potato bake.  Can’t decide which to buy? Choose the variety pack, that contains four different veggies. You will find the prices as tasty as the dishes themselves.

Nuveg Butternut and Cinnamon

Sold in four-in-one packs, they contain four individually packaged and sealed servings of 80g each, and retail for around R25 a box. That works out at just R6,25 per portion, less than a chocolate bar and way healthier.

The fresh-frozen vegetables are prepared from scratch according to traditional South African recipes, using the freshest ingredients and contain no added MSG and neither powdered milk nor cheese. Targeting busy parents, singletons and those with no time or inclination to spend too long in the kitchen, the dishes take just three minutes from freezer to microwave to plate.  All the veggies can also be heated in the oven or by using hot water in a pot.
