Sharing is Caring with Shoprite #ShareforGood

Wanna share a little bit about a giving back campaign I took part in…..

The Shoprite #Shareforgood campaign took place in December of 2014.  The whole objective of the campaign was to share goodness by distributing buckets of non-perishable staple food products to underprivileged families…..

In addition to that, encourage friend as well as the people in our communities to fill a food bucket and donate it to those in need.

I hope to encourage readers of this blog to adopt the spirit of giving throughout 2015.  We often think  that we don’t have money therefore can’t give.  Giving is not just about money, it could be time (which I think is our biggest resource.  I got some of my friends to help with the distribution of the buckets, man!

The campaign has taught me that there are people who live in far bigger worse circumstances.   Therefore I have learnt to be grateful.  I’ve also learnt that sometimes you go out and spend let’s just say R300 without even thinking.  To someone else that is family grocery for the whole month.  Thanks to all my friends who helped in the distribution of the hampers, taking of the pictures etc.

Check out more pics on facebook and hope you get inspired to share……
