New Cooking Show: Hayden Quinn South Africa

“Remember: Live Life, Eat Well, Travel Far.”  Hayden Quinn

On Monday 14th July 2014, I attended the social media launch of Hayden Quinn South Africa,  a 13-episode TV series which plays on SABC3.

Hayden Quinn, of Masterchef Australia fame,  is a marine biologist with a flair for adventure, a surfer, WWW-SASSI ambassador and a celebrity foodie.     I got the pleasure of meeting this young lad and he is not only good looking but down to earth, very sweet and has a lovely personality.

The cooking show, Hayden Quinn South Africa, showcases the  essence and beauty of our country, the people, the food and Hayden’s charming witty personality is icing on the cake.  On the first episode, we watched Hayden cooking on top of table mountain with majestic  and breathtaking views on his background.

During the series, Hayden demonstrates how he lives at 100% by exploring each destination, cooking with organic produce and mingling with the locals.   Every episode is promised to captivate viewers with adventure and we’ll get to see Hayden Quinn surfing the cold waters of the Western Cape , walking with rhinos, zip-lining through the Tsitsikamma tree tops, trying his hand at Zulu stick fighting and taking a bicycle tour through vibrant Soweto.  It all sounds very exciting, doesn’t it?

There’s more:

As one of the sponsors of the show, Centrum® is giving the public the chance to experience their idea of living life at 100% (valued at R3 000), just like Hayden demonstrates during the show.  Entry is simple – visit the Hayden Quinn South Africa Facebook page each week and click on the Centrum® tab.  Answer an easy question and explain what activities you’d like Hayden to do in Season 2.

Did you watch this week’s episode?  What did you think?  If not, then check out the promo video and make sure to catch each episode on Mondays at 21:30 on SABC3.
