Taking place at Blue Hills Equestrian Estate, Kyalami from 25-27 October, the Africa Cycle Fair brings together the best bicycle and accessory brands in a unique setting for an outdoor event for the whole family.

Chalmar Beef, a family owned and run business since 1969, has partnered with the Africa Cycle Fair to bring its premium A-Grade beef to cycling enthusiasts from all over Gauteng.  The leading beef producer, known for its ethical approach and a supplier to Woolworths, is creating a welcoming space for fair-goers to enjoy a delicious beefy menu, prepared by celebrity chef and MasterChef SA judge, Peter Goffe-Wood.

Goffe-Wood has conjured up a menu that maximises the quality, taste, tenderness and juiciness of Chalmar Beef’s perfectly aged and perfectly prepared quality beef.

Chalmar Beef Sirloin Steak Sandwich, Chalmar Beef Mexican Rib Eye Tortillas and Chalmar Beef Rump Espatada in Pita served with Tzatziki will be on the menu over the three-days of the Africa Cycle Fair, all brilliantly prepared by Goffe-Wood.

Known as the Kitchen Cowboy, London-born Goffe-Wood brings 26 years of experience as a professional chef to the Chalmar Beef offering at the Africa Cycle Fair.

Classically trained at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks and having helped establish La Couronne Hotel & Winery (now Mont Rochelle) in Franschhoek (named as one of the fifty most exciting restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveller in 2000), Goffe-Wood is now a food alchemist, consultant and events coordinator. Since the early 2000s he has worked all over the globe, from Namibia to Bangkok, Hanoi, Sydney and Oman, and has written extensively on food, including the books, Kitchen Cowboys and Blues Restaurant – the essence of Cape Town.

Among other positions, Goffe-Wood is currently on the judging panel for the Diners Club 50 Best Restaurants in the World, and is a judge for the second series of MasterChef SA on Mnet.

So if you’re a cycling enthusiast and a foodie, or just a foodie looking for a brilliant day out and some culinary inspiration from one of the best chefs in the country, then head to the Africa Cycle Fair and the delicious Chalmar Beef offering.
