Checkers has been preparing for the festive season since January to ensure consumers get the best products at the most affordable prices. This aggressive price bargaining strategy includes sourcing, negotiating and buying bulk throughout the year, which enables the supermarket chain to pass savings directly onto consumers during the season of giving.
Consumers can expect to get more for their money when buying festive foods, holiday treats, small appliances, kitchenware, outdoor items, electronics, toys and gifts at Checkers and Checkers Hyper supermarkets. Plus the wide range of Christmas trees and decorations is sure to delight the whole family!
Get ready to feast this festive season on a variety of roasts, gammon (including the new maple-flavoured gammon, exclusive to Checkers), turkey, the SA Chefs’ endorsed Turducken (full deboned or a partially deboned roast of smoked turkey, duck and chicken) and the wonderfully indulgent 4-Bird Roast (deboned layers of turkey, duck, chicken and quail).
To round off the feast, Checkers stocks a variety of beautifully packaged and super affordable festive treats including handcrafted bon-bons, peanut brittle, tinned biscuits and chocolates, and of course Christmas pudding.
To help Santa put more toys under trees this year, Checkers is offering to beat any toy price by 10% if a competitor store advertises the identical item at a lower price this festive season. The Toy Price Guarantee extends to all in-store purchases of toys and baby toys at Checkers supermarkets from 19 October until 24 December 2015
Consumers can have their gifts beautifully wrapped in exchange for a small donation at all Checkers supermarkets nationwide from 7 – 24 December. All proceeds are donated to a local charity organisation in the vicinity of the relevant store. Last year’s festive gift wrapping service raised over R2.4million for charity!
